Praxis Policy

MICA's M.A. in Teaching (M.A.T. ) program is a Maryland state-approved program and therefore all graduates must be eligible for certification in the state of Maryland. That eligibility includes passing scores on the Praxis Core and II tests.

Note: The M.A.T. program at MICA does not accept SAT scores in lieu of the successful completion of Praxis Core.

For more information about teaching certification in the state of Maryland please visit the Maryland State Department of Education's certification page here.
