PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION CAREFULLY
Students wishing to request exemption from the freshman housing requirement must provide appropriate documentation to support their request. Requests are not final until they are reviewed and a determination (approved or denied) is made by the Housing Contract Release Committee. If more information is needed, the student will be notified in writing. Students should allow 14 to 21 business days for initial review and processing of all request.

All incoming students requesting release for financial reasons must contact the Financial Aid Office and speak with a financial aid counselor. Finanicial Aid can be reached at finaid@mica.edu or (410) 225-2285. On the Financial Information From please indicate the name of the person you spoke with as well as the date. Additional forms can be downloaded by clicking on their titles below. Additional forms must be completed and e-mailed to residencelife@mica.edu or faxed to (410) 225-2372.
NOTE: Students seeking disability accommodations for housing must request accommodations through the Learning Resource Center (LRC). Documented disabilities are not necessarily a reason for a housing exemption.
All students approved for Contract Release will receive an email from the Office of Residence Life.
