Off-Campus Access to Decker Library Resources
Research doesn't always happen on campus. Decker Library provides off-campus access to various resources, ensuring that you can continue your work from anywhere.
Accessing Resources Off-Campus
If you're off-campus, you'll be asked to submit your MICA username and password to access resources such as:
- Library Catalog
- Article Databases
- Streaming Video
- Image Databases (unless they are open access)
- MICA Digital Library's collection of restricted MICA graduate theses.
For any off-campus connectivity issues, please contact the Senior Systems Specialist Sherri Faaborg, at sfaaborg@mica.edu or 410-225-2467.
Accessing Resources Outside the United States
If you have an internet connection without restrictions, you should be able to access all of the Library's online resources.
In Countries with Restricted Internet Access:
- Access to the Library Catalog and databases may require Virtual Private Network (VPN) software.
- VPN usage may also speed up access to the MICA website, including the Decker Library homepage.
If You Have Restricted Internet and Cannot Use a VPN:
- Please contact your faculty and your librarian or refer@mica.edu .
- We will do our best to assist you in completing your research.
