Ben Luzzatto
Interdisciplinary Sculpture
Ben Luzzatto presented work in which he imagines a new societal relationship to carbon by citing an often overlooked ancient practice from the 15th century. By integrating pyrolysis into whole-home and small-community waste stream systems, individuals (as opposed to only corporations and governments) will be able to participate in a future carbon credit economy.

Adriane Pereira & Vanessa Lopez
MA in Teaching (MAT)
Adriane Pereira and Vanessa Lopez shared the results of an MAT emergent, student-centered, curriculum and pedagogy that responded to the events of the Baltimore Uprising. MAT faculty and students engaged in dialogues about race, privilege, and equity through readings, debates, discussion, and a series of lectures which informed student-teachers' curriculum development, teaching philosophies, and personally-driven arts-based research. In a roundtable discussion, Vanessa and Adriane shared their experiences implementing these curricular changes in response to current events.
