Research at MICA is different from other colleges.
The mission of the Office of Research (OOR) is to inspire a vibrant research culture at MICA through the strategic development of infrastructure that promotes creativity, knowledge creation, reflective practice, and innovation. OOR advances the recognition of research in art and design, advocating for the value of creative work in all aspects of society.
In addition to the Office of Research, research is coordinated through the College's three research centers: Social Design, Design Thinking, and the Hurwitz Center.
