Stacey Salazar, Vice Provost for Graduate Studies

Stacey serves as the educational and administrative leader for all graduate programs, and is the principle spokesperson for Graduate Studies within MICA, as well as with external partners and communities. She oversees the operations of the division including all directors, faculty, programs, administrative staff, and associated budgets, and participates in planning for programs, space, equipment, and technology. In addition, Stacey works with faculty to steward new approaches to curriculum and pedagogy reflective of the student body, social justice, and multifaceted ways of learning; supports faculty with assessment of student learning. With the Graduate Enrollment Advisor and Associate Dean, Stacey works to address students issues as they arise.

Jacob Rhoads, Academic Associate Dean

Jacob supports curricular operations with the goal of creating more sustainable, transparent, and collaborative systems and processes, in alignment with MICA’s mission, vision, and strategic plan. He collaborates with academic leadership and faculty to forward innovative programs and partnerships that advance MICA’s mission, and help to realize MICA’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and globalization.

Andrew Lundholm

Drew Lundholm, Associate Director

Drew coordinates Graduate Research Development Grants, Leslie King-Hammond Fellowship Awards, faculty contracts, course schedule building, graduate elective faculty support and organizes graduate faculty housing.

Elle Jones, Assistant Director

Elle oversees and implements the processes for our physical and virtual day-to-day office functions and supports the administrative processes of Graduate Studies in various ways. She is the primary supervisor for student employees including GPAs and work-study students. Additionally, she is the communications lead for Graduate Studies and the primary contact for all Graduate Studies channels including the newsletter, social media, and the MICA/app. She directs the maintenance, curation and publication of any Graduate Studies related pages on the MICA Website. Finally, she is the project lead and primary contact for all signature Graduate Studies events such as MICA Grad Show and the Fall Shows and is the primary liaison between Graduate Studies and Strategic Communications.

Brian Hagermann, Graduate Program Coordinator: Operations Focus

The Graduate Program Coordinator provides graduate program support to directors of assigned graduate programs, including preparation of budget reports, initiation of business processes related to independent contractors, suppliers, and vendors, and provision of Workday technical assistance and troubleshooting. They also support day-to-day administrative needs of Graduate Studies and its programs and initiatives. Brian’s Operations Focus means that he also supports the Associate Director in managing facilities and operational needs including studio move in/out, studio contracts, facilities issues, and managing the Vice Provost’s calendar.
