Application Procedures + Deadlines

Deadlines

Final deadline: April 30, 2019

MICA will accept applications on a rolling basis and respond with an admissions decision within three weeks of receipt of materials. Admitted applicants will then be informed of any additional requirements. Apply beginning November 1, 2018 to secure your spot and receive priority scholarship consideration.

Early Application Recommended

Due to the limited space in MICA's Pre-College Art and Design Residency Program, placement is competitive, and most spaces in the program fill prior to the final deadline. Early application is strongly recommended. Course placement is assigned based on a student's indicated preference, space availability as well as the strength of the student's portfolio. We cannot guarantee that a student will be placed in their first-choice studio course. If all three requested classes are full, the student is notified as quickly as possible and is given the opportunity to select alternate courses. Applications are not considered complete until all required materials are received by the Pre-College Art and Design Residency Program; incomplete applications will not be considered.

MICA's Pre-College Art and Design Residency Program is one of the most challenging and rewarding opportunities for young artists and designers.
