Her research builds on work with the Hopkins Extreme Materials Institute where she developed a process to quantify and visualize qualitative data as a tool to explore the connection between collaboration and discovery. Sam is a graduate of MICA's Information Visualization masters program, holds a BFA in Graphic Design from Salisbury University, and has been practicing as a designer for the past decade.
