Graduate Competitive Fellowships

Launch Artists in Baltimore Award

Funding Unavailable in 2019

The LAB Award is granted to support graduate students completing their MA or MFA degrees at MICA to engage in projects and initiatives in Baltimore. The aim of these awards is to provide a launching platform for graduating students to enter and meaningfully contribute to the cultural life of Baltimore.

MICA has been especially fortunate that many of its graduate alums have committed to living in Baltimore well beyond graduation. LAB Awards ($10,000) are funded in acknowledgment of the continuing relevance of these immense contributions and as a means to engender many more of our graduate alumni to remain in and continue their practice in the city.
