- Faith Couch ’19 is included in the traveling exhibition The New Black Vanguard: Photography Between Art and Fashion curated by Antwaun Sargent for Aperture Foundation. She was featured on the Forbes 30 under 30 list in 2021. Her work has also been shown at the New Image Gallery in LA, the Nasher Museum in North Carolina, and the African American Museum in Philadelphia, among others.
- Akea Brionne ’18 recently won the Janet and Walter Sondheim Artscape Prize which includes an exhibition at the Walters Art Museum. She was chosen for the 2018 Documentarian of Color Award by the Archive of Documentary Arts at Duke University. She is currently pursuing an MFA at Cranbrook Academy of Art.
- David Billet ’17 and Ian Kline ’17 published the monograph Rabbit/Hare with Deadbeat Club Press in 2020. The photographs were made collaboratively during their Jan Meyer ’87 Photography Traveling Fellowship. Ian is now completing an MFA at Yale University.
- Jack Flame Sorokin ’15 was recently selected for a FeatureShoot Emerging Photographer award and an awared from The Independent Photographer. His client list includes Bon Appétit, Chobani, Garden & Gun, the New York Times, Runner’s World Magazine, and the Wall Street Journal, among others.
- Elle Pérez ’11 had recent solo exhibitions at MOMA PS1, the Carnegie Museum of Art, and the Baltimore Museum of Art. They were featured in the 2019 Whitney Biennial. They were also selected by the Public Art Fund to have work featured on over 100 bus shelters in New York City.
- Rafael Soldi ’09 had a solo exhibition at The Print Center in Philadelphia, which was reviewed in ArtFORUM. In 2019, he was the artist-in-residence at Oxbow Seattle.
- Daniel Shea ’07 was awarded the prestigious Foam Paul Huf Award . His work was exhibited at The Pavilion of the United States at the 17th Venice Biennale of Architecture, Italy. He is represented by Webber Gallery, London.
- Rose Marie Cromwell ’05 had a photo essay in the New Yorker Magazine. Her photographs illustrate the article, A New Vanguard of Women in Cuban Jazz. She also published the monograph El Libro Supremo with TIS Books.
- Corinne May Botz ’99 presented a solo show, Milk Factory, at Baxter St at the Camera Club of New York and the National Young Arts Foundation. Her work was also included in Half the Picture: A Feminist Look at the Collection at the Brooklyn Museum.
- Lola Flash ’81 recently published a New York Times Op Ed We Don’t Fit Your Gender Binary. Deal With It, accompanied by photographs from her more than 30-year career collaborating with the LGBTQIA+ community. Flash is included in important collections such as the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the Brooklyn Museum. She is represented by Jenkins Johnson Gallery.
- Jim Burger ’81 recently published the monograph What’s Not to Like: Words and Pictures of a Charmed Life, which was also a large-scale retrospective exhibition at the Creative Alliance in Baltimore.
