Firmin DeBrabander received his PhD from Emory University in 2002, and specializes in Political Philosophy. Dr. DeBrabander also teaches courses in Classical Greek and Roman Philosophy, Aesthetics, Moral Philosophy, Environmental Ethics, and the Philosophy of Economics.
His most recent book is entitled Life After Privacy, published by Cambridge University Press in 2020. Dr. DeBrabander is also the author of Do Guns Make us Free? (Yale University Press, 2015), and Spinoza and the Stoics (Bloomsbury Press, 2007).
Dr. DeBrabander writes social and political commentary for a variety of national publications, including the New York Times, Washington Post, LA Times, Chicago Tribune, Boston Globe, Baltimore Sun, Salon, The Atlantic and The New Republic.
