Katie Zaeh

Katie Zaeh is a registered architect and teacher specializing in early design education. She is passionate about increasing access to Architectural education for those who are underrepresented in the field. She loves to draw and is interested in how digital representation has impacted the built environment.
Katie Zaeh is a registered architect and teacher specializing in early design education. She loves to draw and is interested in how digital representation has impacted the built environment.
 
Katie completed her undergraduate studies at Princeton University and her graduate studies in Architecture at Columbia University's Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation. She has practiced architecture at several small architecture firms in Baltimore including SM+P and  Ziger/Snead, and especially loves adaptive reuse projects. She has taught undergraduate courses at MICA, Morgan State University School of Architecture and Planning, and Tyler School of Art and Architecture.
 
Katie's interest in increasing access to Architectural education led her to pursue a teaching certificate in K-12 Art education. She was a fellow at Princeton University's School of Architecture where she was the inaugural instructor of Princeton ArcPrep, the university's pre-college architecture program. Katie has worked on early design curriculum for Princeton ArcPrep as well as the Baltimore Design School. Katie transitioned to teaching high school architecture full-time at the Baltimore Design School in 2022.
