Interested in program and event planning? Looking to meet new people and build some professional skills? Want to play a role in hosting some of MICA's favorite campus events? You've come to the right place. 

We're looking for Program Assistants!

Plan events, meet new people, and make an impact at MICA! We meet every other Wednesday from 2:15 - 3:45 PM (ET) in the Center for Student Engagement.

The MICA Program Board provides you with the opportunity to be involved at whatever level feels right for you. MPB overseen by two student Program Directors (PDs) who guide the overall vision, strategy, and direction of the organization. From there, our team is divided into four planning committees, each chaired by two Program Managers (PMs) who are responsible for the planning and implementation of a minimum of five events per year. Program Assistants (PAs) serve on one of the four committees, and are integral to the creative process of event planning, as well the event production. 

Program Directors and Program Managers both require a formal application and interview process, must attend regular trainings, meetings, and office hours, and are paid positions. Program Assistants are asked to attend bi-weekly meetings and their committee events, but have more flexible time commitments and responsibilities - making the PA role a great way to get involved without having to make a more formal commitment.

All current MICA students are welcome to join! 

The MICA Program Board consists of three student leadership positions: Program Directors, Program Managers, and Program Assistants

Applications for Program Directors and Program Managers typically open in late fall and interviews are conducted in the spring. Those interested in serving as a Program Assistant can join at any time, and simply need to fill out an interest form to get started!

Program Directors and Program Managers are paid positions, while Program Assistants are volunteer roles. All members receive a MPB t-shirt, professional development, meals at trainings and celebrations, and an awesome experience!

All members are required to attend bi-weekly Program Board & Committee meetings (every other Wednesday from 2:15PM – 3:45PM*). Additional time commitments vary by position. Check out mica.edu/ilead for full position descriptions!
