How to Get Your Diploma

It's almost time for graduation - congratulations! Below, we're including several important steps to make the process as simple as possible.

Getting Your Diploma

We’ve teamed with Parchment Inc. to provide two versions of your diploma: a traditional printed diploma and an official digital version. The digital diploma is an official document that you can share online or send to employers, educational institutions and others for fast verification of your degree. There are a few key actions you need to take to ensure that your diploma is correct and delivered to you.

Questions about your diploma should be directed to enrollmentservices@mica.edu, or check the Parchment FAQs

Please note:

  • Your diploma displays your name, degree, major program (Latin honors apply to undergraduates only).

  • Students who have an outstanding financial obligation to MICA will not receive their diploma until their balance is cleared.

  • Students with incomplete or missing grades will not receive their diplomas until all degree requirements are satisfied.

Printed diplomas will be shipped to your permanent address in approximately 4-6 weeks. You can track the shipment through your Parchment account.

How to Get Your Diploma in Three Steps

We've created a three-step process to make sure your diploma is accurate and delivered in a timely manner. If these steps are not followed, your diploma may be delivered to the wrong address, your name will not be printed the way you would prefer, or you may not receive a digital copy of your diploma.  Please do the following as soon as possible:

If you designate a Degree Email in your Student Center, you will receive a digital diploma. The digital diploma will be sent to your Degree Email shortly after your degree is conferred. Anyone who does not designate a Degree Email will not receive a digital diploma.

See the instructions on the Diplomas and Transcripts page!

This process confirms your intention to graduate at the end of the term; it also ensures that your degree program (including minors, emphases, etc.) are recorded properly.
  1. Login to the MICA website and navigate to your  Student Services Center
  2. In the first section (My Academics), select Apply for Graduation from the drop-down menu.
  3. Follow the steps to confirm your degree program(s) and graduation term. You will receive confirmation that your application was successful. If the information is not accurate, please contact your academic advisor.
