Sex Misconduct
MICA seeks to provide a safe environment free of sex misconduct and discrimination. Our goal is to ensure that all cases of sexual misconduct and gender-based violence are handled appropriately. More importantly, we want community members to feel safe and supported. Please use this guide as a starting point.
Student Support
Request to return from a leave of absence, request to medically withdraw from a course after the deadline, or request outreach to faculty please complete this form. Documentation should not be shared directly with faculty, or via email to anyone.
Absence Documentation
In accordance with MICA’s attendance policy, students should contact their faculty when they are absent from class. However, there are many extenuating circumstances such as illness, mental health concerns, or a death in the family, where students may need to work with the Assistant Director for Student Development for faculty outreach and support. Please request assistance through this form.
Food Access
MICA realizes that many of its students are food insecure. In other words, they lack consistent access to enough food for an active and healthy life (U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). MICA understands that students with food insecurity may struggle to achieve their educational and life goals. To support these students, MICA has created two initiatives to facilitate food access points for students. These initiatives are run by the College and include collaborative efforts among several offices.
