GENDER IDENTITY INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS

MICA strives to foster an inclusive community.  Here are the instructions for pronoun and name changes within MICA systems.

Pronoun Guide

Instructions: Navigation for Pronouns:

Log in to portal (www.mica.edu)
Select My Account and Profile on left side bar menu
Select My Pronouns

Navigation for Preferred Name:

Current student who has never been a student employee

All records are housed in PeopleSoft as the primary database.

Primary (legal) Name - Can be changed by visiting Enrollment Services or Open Studies. Supporting legal documentation is necessary.

Preferred Name - Can be changed by the student via the MICA portal or by contacting Enrollment Services. No supporting legal documentation is necessary.

Current student who has at any time been a student employee

All records are housed in Workday as the primary database. Any updates made in PeopleSoft will be overwritten by the records in Workday. A student only needs to change their Workday information in order to effect change across both Workday and PeopleSoft systems.

Legal Name - Can be changed via Workday and/or PB&C. Supporting legal documentation is necessary.
Workday Legal Name will overwrite PeopleSoft Primary Name.

Preferred Name - Can be changed via Workday and/or PB&C. No supporting legal documentation is necessary.

Workday Preferred Name will overwrite PeopleSoft Preferred
