Stuart Clarke, Vice Chair

Stuart Clarke has been a member of the MICA Board of Trustees since 2015.

Stuart Clarke has been executive director of the Town Creek Foundation since October 2004. Town Creek Foundation is an environmental grant-making institution in Easton, Md., created by local philanthropists Jennifer and the late Ted Stanley in 1981. His previous philanthropic experience includes assignments as a program officer with the Turner Foundation and as development director of the Southern Partners Fund, both in Atlanta, Ga. Stuart has also served on the faculty of Williams College in Williamstown, Ma., as the director of the Atlanta Outward Bound Center and as the CEO of Hands On Network, a national network of community-based centers for volunteerism and civic action.

Stuart has also served on the boards of the Center for a New American Dream, the Environmental Grantmakers Association and Outward Bound, and is currently a Trustee of the Chesapeake Bay Trust.

He received his undergraduate degree from Lafayette College in Pennsylvania and did his graduate work at Yale University.
