Since she joined the MICA Board in 1983, Gross has chaired the MICA Committee for Trustee Affairs, the Annual Fund, and Artafare. She currently chairs the Development Committee and sits on the Executive Committee.
She was president of the Board of Maryland Art Place from 1984 to 1993 and a Trustee of the Baltimore Museum of Art from 1989 to 1993.
Prior to moving to Baltimore in 1982, Gross worked in public relations in Denver for the Colorado Historical Society and the Auraria Higher Education Center, and she was also promotions director of the San Francisco Examiner. After her move to Baltimore, she worked as director of the Friends of the Baltimore Symphony and director of Development for Enterprise Community Partners. She currently serves on the Board of the Baltimore Design School.
She is married to Adam Gross, the principal in the architectural firm of Ayers Saint Gross and has two daughters - Perry and Kyle. Perry graduated from MICA in 2016 and is a fiber artist. Kyle graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder, in 2017 and works in space analytics.
