Diversity Coordinators (DCs) are iLead student employees who have been tasked with the vital role of creating programs and supporting students as they explore their cultures and identities on campus. Each Diversity Coordinator mentors 1-2 first year students and also develops student-facing programming over the course of the year.

Maya Amanuel (she/her)
Sophomore | Illustration/Humanistic Studies Major
Maya Amanuel is a Diversity Coordinator at Culture & Identity, majoring in Illustration and Humanistic Studies here at MICA. She loves helping students get accustomed to the MICA environment along with the city of Baltimore, as well as providing resources to whatever a person may need. She wants to make sure all students feel comfortable in this new period in their lives, whether that be socially, educationally/artistically, or safety-wise.
Kalen Chowdhury (they/he)
Sophomore | Graphic Design Major + Illustration Minor
Kalen is a Diversity Coordinator at Culture and Identity. They are currently in their sophomore year at MICA studying graphic design and have worked at the OCI since their freshman year.
At the office, he fosters a welcoming environment that mentees and all students alike can seek comfort and home in. Kalen wants to make college life easier to navigate and less intimidating— students can come to them with questions about academics, projects, or even just the process of adult life.

Rhythm Singhal (she/her)
Sophomore | Graphic Design Major + Illustration Minor
Rhythm Singhal is a Diversity Coordinator at Culture & Identity. She is a sophomore at MICA, majoring in graphic design, and pursuing a double minor in product design and creative entrepreneurship. This is her first semester working at OCI, where she is excited to contribute to fostering an inclusive environment.
In addition to her role at OCI, Rhythm serves as the Communication Director for the Student Voice Association (SVA). She is passionate about helping MICA students feel comfortable, connecting with others, attending events, and making the most of their college experience. Rhythm believes that student life should be enjoyed to the fullest, and she is dedicated to making that a reality for everyone on campus.
