Dr. Shannon Ingram (she/her) is the Executive Director, MOSAIC Center for Diversity, Equity and Community. She is a licensed graduate professional counselor who has been working in education and community for over 20 years. She earned a B.S. in Human Development & Family Studies from Penn State University, a M.A. in Community Counseling from Marymount University, and an Ed.D. in Administrative Leadership from Shenandoah University.

Her primary role is to provide strategic leadership of the MOSAIC Center for Diversity, Equity & Community. She is committed to integrating principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, and globalization into the DNA of MICA.


Marissa Vazhappilly (they/them)

Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging Specialist

Marissa Vazhappilly is the Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging Specialist at Culture & Identity. They have a BFA in Animation from MICA and have worked in the DEIG field as an activist and undergrad employee for five years. They’ve worked at Culture & Identity since they were a sophomore and got their start as a mentee.

They support student employees, advise identity-based student organizations, help lead the Annual Benefit Fashion Show, and manage the office’s programs and day-to-day activities. In their spare time they’re a mixed media animator and try to make and mend their own clothes!


 

Sara Kaltwasser (she/her)

Assistant Director of Community Art & Service

Sara Kaltwasser is the Assistant Director of Community Art & Service at MICA. She has a BFA in Painting from Pacific Northwest College of Art as well as an MFA in Community Art from MICA. Sara Kaltwasser has worked in the Community Art & Art Education field for over 20 years. 
 
Her primary role is to connect MICA students, staff and faculty to the broader Baltimore community through leadership opportunities as well as strong community partnerships. In addition to overseeing student-based positions like Community Site Leader and the France-Merrick Fellowship at MICA, Sara also supports planning for a variety of civic engagement and service-related activities.
