Teaching Support at Decker Library: Enhancing Learning Together
Attention: Instruction sessions for Fall 2024 semester must be requested by September 20th. If you can’t find a date and time that works for your class to visit the library or have questions about instruction please email Tannaz Motevalli, Information Literacy and Instructional Design Librarian, tmotevalli@mica.edu.
Collaborative and Inclusive Teaching Support
We believe in working closely with faculty to create a learning environment that is inclusive and tailored to the unique needs of each course. Library instruction sessions currently being offered include
- Library Orientation: Help your students get acquainted with the library. Library orientations can include a tour of the library, an overview of the library catalog, introduction to the library's services and electronic resources, and time to practice using the library for research!
- Collection Visit: Bring your class to the library to explore our amazing collections! Work with librarians to select an array of items relevant to your course. These items can include artists' books and special collections, zines, games, and circulating materials.
- Information Literacy Lesson: Make sure students understand their research assignment and have a possible topic in mind before the session.
Once you have scheduled your sessions, the instructor will be in touch about Zoom or other online teaching access.
Additional Instruction Available
