The Practicum provides a series of workshops in core techniques, methods, and technologies current in interdisciplinary sculpture praxis. Topics range from introductions to kinetics, metal fabrication, sound capture & editing, studio lighting, circuits and control devices, and 3-D software . Taught with artistic work in mind, these core areas are vital in understanding how essential technical knowledge can serve the fabrication, distribution, and conceptualization of artwork. These workshops will change each semester so that students are provided skill sets grounding and sustaining their sculptural practice.
