"Rinehart was nothing like what I imagined it would be. It took me by surprise in the best possible way and provided me with everything that I didn't know I needed. All of the elements that make up the program (the community, the space, the city, the curriculum) worked together to solidify my ideas and practice. There are a lot of cliché, marketable things I could say about my experience at Rinehart, and they would all be true. But the real important things are much harder to describe, like that feeling of hating everything you make, but loving every minute of it. Rinehart provided a place to fall apart while simultaneously rebuilding everything you thought you knew about your work; something that feels so terrifying, and yet so affirming."
