The Marian Brusselback Scholarship was established in December 2019 by Amy Brusselback ’94 (BFA), her husband Mark Farrell, and their extended family. The endowed scholarship celebrates the life of art enthusiast and life-long amateur artist, Marian Brusselback.
Ms. Brusselback was a docent, lecturer, painter, and most of all, a student of all genres of art. She was near 80 years old when she dressed up like Frank Lloyd Wright and gave a museum speech in his words. Her love for the arts defined her life and her legacy, and paved the way for many of her children and grandchildren to choose art as their life’s work.
The Marian Brusselback Scholarship provides scholarship support in perpetuity, to deserving undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need, while also celebrating the creative life of Marian Brusselback.
MICA is grateful to all the members of the Brusselback family for their generosity in establishing this scholarship fund. More than 90% of MICA students request financial aid to fund their education and scholarships like this enable the College to support generations of students in perpetuity.
