MICA Graduate Merit Scholarship
Candidates applying for MFA and MA programs are automatically considered for partial merit scholarships, which offer funds covering between 10% and 75% of tuition. Candidates selected for admission are holistically reviewed by the Graduate Scholarship Committee. Scholarship awards are granted on the basis of comprehensive merit, considering all materials submitted with the application. No additional application materials are required. All admitted MFA and MA students receive some form of merit scholarship.
MICA Competitive Graduate Scholarship
Each year, the Office of Graduate Studies and Graduate Scholarship Committee offer at least one competitive scholarship for admitted MFA and MA students. To be eligible to participate in the competitive scholarship process, candidates must apply by the first round deadline. The most recent competitive scholarship, the Leslie King Hammond Graduate Fellowship, is scheduled to be offered again in 2021.
Other Scholarships & Fellowships
The Graduate Scholarship Committee considers eligible MFA and MA candidates for additional scholarships funded by private donors and foundations. Admitted candidates who meet the eligibility criteria are automatically considered for awards. In most cases, no additional materials or supplemental financial aid application is required.
