NEXT STEPS

As soon as you decide to attend MICA, make it official! Complete the Declaration of Intent form to let us know whether or not you plan to attend. If you plan to attend, you will need to submit a tuition deposit of $450. You can submit online via credit card at mica.edu/deposit, wire transfer, or by check. Our priority candidate reply date is May 1, 2024**To learn more about the payment methods accepted, please visit our Billing and Payment page.

**We understand and sympathize with your stress in making the right decision for you and your family. Deciding what college to attend can be a difficult and time-consuming decision. If you feel like you need more time to commit, please fill out our Commitment Deadline Extension Request form

For Deferred Students: If you previously paid your tuition deposit and it was held for you or if you received a tuition deposit waiver, you do not need to pay the tuition deposit again. Not sure? Email us at records@mica.edu.

We'd love to show you around campus, in-person or virtually! Get all the details about MICA programs of study, visit departments, view facilities, and meet informally with faculty and students. You can visit our Events Page for more information.

Merit Scholarships and Financial Aid

The final merit scholarship and financial aid offers will be mailed and available in your student portal the week of April 1, 2024. These offers will confirm any MICA scholarships that you have already been awarded and provide information on the total cost of attendance, as well as any additional merit or need-based aid from other sources for which you may be eligible.

Visa Information

As a new incoming student from abroad you will need to return all international student paperwork for your visa. You are required to submit your Immigration Information form to indicate your current immigration status and intentions regarding immigration while studying at MICA.  Click here to learn about the F-1 visa process.

All forms and supporting materials should be uploaded to your student portal or emailed to records@mica.edu by June 1, 2024 for the Fall 2024 semester.

The Immigration Information form (download PDF) is required before an I-20 can be issued and it must be completed even if you do not plan to study under an F-1 visa.

If you already hold a valid F-1 Visa from another school and plan to transfer it to MICA you must also complete and submit the I-20 Transfer Release form  (download PDF) along with a PDF photocopy of your current I-20 form.

In addition to the Immigration form, please submit the required financial statement documents:

  • a signed Affidavit of Financial Support form (download PDF)
  • an PDF of an official bank statement
  • a PDF photocopy of your passport

According to U.S. Immigration law, we must receive these documents before we can issue your I-20.
