Inner space travel is an immersive sonic experience for exploring states of consciousness through sound frequencies and floatation. Each soundscape is composed of environmental field recordings from nature, ambient synthesis, and isochronic tones, which are played through underwater transducer speakers submerged within an open float pod.The float pod is filled with a 1000 pounds of Epsom salt and warm water which matches the temperature of your skin, allowing the body to float effortlessly and be completely weightless.
Each sonic environment is projected onto a 360 degree dome creating the sense of floating in infinite space. These soundscapes are composed of isochronic tones in the delta, theta, and alpha range, which are corresponding frequencies of our natural brainwave patterns. Isochronic tones are a form of audio brainwave entrainment which naturally synchronize the patterns of our brainwaves by emitting soft pulsating tones of the same frequency in periodic intervals. This creates a rhythmic pulsating sound where the brain naturally synchronizes its patterns to the range of frequencies its hearing, allowing you to enter a meditative state of mind.
Within the pod, you can physically feel the vibrations of the subliminal frequencies throughout your body. On the side of the pod, you have the ability to dim the projection, and quiet the sounds, re-introducing the experience complete sensory deprivation. Akin to when we were all floating in the womb space, here, the only sound present is the movement of water, the rising and falling of your breathing, and the rhythm of your heartbeat.
During this time of stillness, thoughts, memories, and emotions arise from the subconscious to the forefront of the mind.Through the combination of immersive floatation and sound vibration, this experience gives one the space to explore the subconscious mind, release the attachment to thoughts, and simply observe them without judgment; entering a state of flow and being present in the Eternal Now.

Statement
Through the creations I have made, I am a multimedia designer and sound artist. Through my existence, I become increasingly aware that human expression expands beyond the tangible. I explore metaphysical and intangible concepts, and the interconnectivity between humanity and nature through sound art and multimedia. My path to art and design was not linear. Since elementary, I’ve had a strong passion for science. Born to parents in the medical field, I was naturally drawn to the beauty and mystery of science, particularly biology, psychology and ecology. At age 15 I was accepted to the Young Scholars Program to study biotechnology at the University of Maryland at age 15.
I believe I was drawn to biotechnology because I found it captivating that we could nurture live organisms and genetic material to perform entirely new functions and produce life. I became aware of how a symbiotic relationship could exist between technology and the environment which nurtured rather than destroyed. It was the beauty of creation and innovation that drew me towards the sciences. While studying biology and psychology at the University of Maryland, I became fascinated by the linkage between human nature and ecology. When I realized what I was genuinely passionate about, my love for the process of creation, I was pulled towards a new direction of art and design. I took a leap of faith and applied to art school. After matriculating to the Maryland Institute College of Art, I earned my BFA in Graphic Design and Sound Art. The mediums I explore include multimedia design, digital photography, sound art, and music.
Through my transition from living in a rural area to living in the heart of the city, the soundscapes around me changed drastically. It was here I became interested in bioacoustics and the ever-changing nature of the sounds in our environment; some becoming louder, softer, or disappearing completely. I began capturing these environmental sounds through field recording and became aware of the ephemeral nature of the sonic landscapes we exist in. From the shores of Indonesia to the streets of Washington D.C, I record and compose sounds from all over the globe, sometimes within the earth, under the sea, and at high altitudes in the skies. I create evolving soundscapes by composing environmental field recordings with sonic synthesis. Often composed with ambient atmospheres, sonic textures and found sounds, it transports the listener into the eternal space of now, allowing us to tune into the poetic symphony of nature itself.
As a sound artist, I acknowledge how the individual components of the frequencies affect the listener. While as a graphic designer, I keep in mind how cultural motifs, symbolism, and images impact the viewer and construct the reality we exist in and interact with. Art, design, and music have played an important role in my life, and society on a global scale, as it affects cultural identity, social structures, economies, cultural development, and environments. I seek to create and expand on intersectional perspectives and voices by bringing awareness to the phenomena that link us to all things in existence, tangible and intangible.
