Statement

My work explores the tender moments in life- stillness, intimacy, and reflection, and how they have the power to transmit energy and emotion. Drawing upon memory, personal narrative, and art historical references, I depict the contemporary queer figure in landscape as well as interior space.

Through color and gesture, my works describe the spiritual and emotional states of my body. They transcribe the sentimental nature of queer life that exists outside the socially constructed boundaries of time, gender, and attraction.
