Statement

Lucy Nguyen is a Vietnamese-American illustrator from the D.C. metro area with a passion for narrative illustration and visual development. Her character driven storytelling explores the complexities of personal identity and interpersonal relationships and how they exist in broader historical and cultural contexts, both real and fantastical. Her work is inspired by her interest in fashion history and costume design, contemplative filmmaking that focuses on the smaller details, and stories about life changing adventures and otherworldly encounters.
