Statement

For my senior thesis, I looked at the ways in which 2010s internet culture and fandom has influenced my life and the lives of my friends. My goal was to celebrate the "cringe" eras of our lives, instead of hiding them away and pretending they do not exist. I did this by interviewing my friends and creating imagined childhood bedrooms for each of them. I then compiled these into a book, a format that will not disappear as the internet changes.
