Statement

When you cannot explain yourself thoroughly through writing or speaking, you can draw or paint. Then the pictures could represent someone’s cry or singing. Paintings do not explain or point at things that are out in the world. They just exist between the cries or singings. Sometimes, nonetheless, those cries and singings speak directly and strongly to others, which is why I paint.

The gaze is directly showed through the paintings. When you are gazing at an object, you can see yourself even if the object is a piece of flowing cloud. When my senses meet intuitions, I find my gazes. Day by day, I practiced looking at myself trying to catch the moments. Doing self-portraits is a good practice that helped me to get experiences on catching those moments.
