Statement

Esther Du was born in Nanjing, China in 1999, and is now based in Baltimore, MD. She is a student at Maryland Institute College of Art, where she is working toward her BFA in General Fine Arts. Her work is inspired by literature and philosophy, and conveys various sentiments and surreal fantasies. She uses sculpture, photography, and painting to present geometric abstractions and metaphoric symbols.
