I'm Adam. I like to describe my process as simply that "I make things that make other things." Specializing in creative coding, digital fabrication, and whatever weird machine I can get my hands on, I love to experiment and create new things.
So, for my thesis, I took a semester-long dive into the world of generative art, specifically creative coding platforms. After a long period of experimentation, I decided to dedicate my time to building tools and code blocks that alter image data with the addition of noise and randomly sourced signals to produce unique imagery that while still vaguely reminiscent of its origin, it novel in its creation.
What you see before you is the culmination of all those tools wrapped into one. PlotMaker MKII is a program written in processing that allows the user to generate new graphics and with the help of computer vision and svg rendering, "plot" these drawings using a pen plotter of their choice.
