Eduardo Corral a.k.a. TLaloC

Eduardo Corral, a.k.a. TLaloC is an illustrator, interdisciplinary artist and graphic designer born in the industrial city of Monterrey, Mexico. His work is based on an ideology that sees the Artist as a brand, which is accomplished by a palpable awareness of the integration between illustration, arts and design creative branches. His work is characterized by the ludic exploration of human behavior in regard to themes such as the fascination for the unknown, nostalgia, sex and the de-contextualization of the mundane. He holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Illustration, by the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), and he was recipient of the Fulbright Scholarship, given by Fulbright Comexus-García Robles Program for Studies Abroad.

Among other distinctions, he has been selected as winner at AI-AP (American Illustration / American Photography) - Latin American Ilustración 2, TR3S, 4, 5, and 6 consecutively - and also in the itinerant exhibition “Los Diez” (Orensanz N.Y. Foundation). He has received honorable mentions at the illustration 3x3 The Magazine for Contemporary Illustration competition, and has been a semi-finalist at the Adobe Design Achievement Awards (ADAA), and LAD (Latin American Design) respectively. He was also part of the first generation of PICTOPLASMA Academy Mexico, resulting in 4 collective exhibitions (Mexico, Miami and Berlin) so far. He has also recently been part of the PORTFOLIO Jury for the 2018 Young Ones Student Awards.

His work has taken part in 30 collective national and international exhibitions (in China, Germany, Colombia and the USA, among other countries) and 4 individual exhibitions in México.
