Originally starting as a sculpture major, he transitioned into Film and discovered his love for sound. Before graduating in 2009, Matt studied stop-motion in the Animation department. Combining a dormant passion for sculpture with a fresh one for sound, he rekindled his love for the works of Nick Park and others he had while growing up in the UK.

As an award-winning Sound Designer, Matt has been a part of a diverse assortment of films and projects. The work he does includes building custom instruments, imaginative Foley, creature vocals and use of analog synthesizers. Some of these include his work with The Blair Witch Project director Eduardo Sanchez, including Lovely Molly, VHS2, and Exists. In 2014 Matt completed Sound Design, FX and Foley for The Quest, a hybrid fantasy/reality primetime TV show from the minds of the Amazing Race and produced by Mark Ordesky, executive producer of The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
