MICA owns several brownstone buildings on Mount Royal Avenue that are referred to as the Mt. Royal Apartments. As well as having access to all of the benefits of Gateway life such as laundry facilities and studio spaces, the Mt. Royal apartments offer a slightly more independent living environment reserved for our graduate populations.
The Mount Royal apartments are a historical part of the Bolton Hill area of Baltimore, and provide a unique and comfortable atmosphere in their quaint and charming spaces. Students that have lived in the Mount Royal apartments stated they enjoy living in these comfortable picturesque apartments that are conveniently placed in the heart of our campus. All apartments come partially furnished and have carpeted floors, a full bathroom and kitchen, and a common area. Due to the historical nature of these structures, each apartment varies in size and dimension. Mount Royal Apartments are the closest thing to living off campus without all the hassles that often come with living off campus.
