Stephanie Barber is an American writer and artist. She has created a poetic, conceptual and philosophical body of work in a variety of media.

Barber's films and videos have been screened nationally and internationally in solo and group shows at MoMA, NY; The Tate Modern, London; The Whitney Museum of American Art, NY; The Paris Cinematheque; The National Gallery of Art; The Walker Art Center, MN; MOCA Los Angeles among other galleries, museums and festivals.

Many of her videos, including her recent feature DAREDEVILS, are distributed by Video Data Bank and her films can be found at Canyon Cinema and Fandor.com.

Her collection of short stories, All The People, was published in 2015 by Ink Press Productions. Her earlier books these here separated to see how they standing alone and Night Moves (2008 & 2013 respectively) are available from Publishing Genius Press as well. Her chapbooks jhana and the rats of james olds was published by The San Francisco Cinematheque in 2014 and poems was published in 2008 by Bronze Skull Press.

Barber is currently a resident artist at The Mt. Royal MFA for Interdisciplinary Art at MICA in Baltimore, MD and a teaching artist at The Milton Avery Graduate School of the Arts at Bard College.
