The program's 26 students comprise a community of artists within the larger graduate community and interaction and collaboration form a vital component of their education and formation as artists.
Those who are considering the Mount Royal School of Art may also want to consider other MICA programs. The Hoffberger School of Painting (M.F.A.) offers a focus on painting; the Rinehart School of Sculpture (M.F.A.) provides emphasis on 3D study and studio exploration of space and time; the Low-Residency M.F.A. in Studio Art shares the Mount Royal School of Art's multidisciplinary ethic in a low-residency format.
