MICATalks Alumni Panel

MICA Talks is an exciting program based on the popular webinar series, TedTalks, but from a completely artistic perspective. Successful MICA alumni come back to campus to share their work and experience with current students.

Come join us for a night of TED Talk inspired lectures as a hand-picked panel of successful alumni from a wide range of professional worlds share their journey with the MICA community.  We have invited alumni from a variety of graduation years and majors to speak about their experience and how they got to where they are now.

Event Details:
Friday, February 15th
6:00-8:00 pm
BBox

Speakers will be presenting on their current work and how they navigated life after graduation to get where they are today. The panel features alumni:

Morel Doucet '13 Ceramics [Interdisciplinary Ceramicist]
Ginny Huo '11 Rinehart School of Sculpture [Artist/Youth Program Coordinator at The Studio Museum]
Alex Fine '04 Illustration [Freelance Illustrator]
Leslie Xia '15 Graphic Design [Associate Art Director at Men's Health Magazine]
Ashley Lian '17 Fiber & Humanistic Studies [Assistant Designer at Anthropologie]

These incredible artists and designers will be each giving short presentations and taking questions as a panel. The event will be followed by a catered mix and mingle outside of the BBox, so come prepared to be a part of the interaction in this intimate lecture setting.
