Career Counseling Appointments

Click on the pink “Schedule Now” button to schedule a Career Counseling appointment.

Please note, our busiest times of the year are during the beginning and end of each semester, at which time,  expect a two to three week wait for the next available appointment.

Drop-In Hours

Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00-4:00 PM

The quickest and easiest way to meet with a Career Counselor is during our Drop-In Hours. Speak with a counselor during these 10-15 minute meetings if you have a quick question about any professional development-related topic. No previously scheduled appointment necessary. Drop-ins run on a first-come-first-served basis, and run throughout the semester.

Appointment Types

Peer Career Advisor Appointments

Meeting with a Peer Career Advisor (P.C.A.s) will help you maximize your face time with the Career Development Office. Our P.C.A.s are here to introduce you to our services, help you prepare your professional package materials and get you started in your internship search. Learning the basics from a P.C.A. will lead to more fruitful and productive conversations with your career counselor! P.C.A.s have office availability every week during the fall and spring semesters.

Appointment Policies

Appointments with career counselors are limited to students and alumni of MICA's degree-bearing programs. Due to the volume of appointments and availability of our counselors, students are limited to two one-hour appointments with a career counselor per semester. You may stop by during drop-in hours to meet with a counselor at any time with quick follow-up questions you may have. Drop-ins and P.C.A. appointments do not count toward the two-per-semester limit.

24-Hour Cancellation Policy
We are now enforcing a 24-hour cancellation policy. Please call our office to cancel or reschedule your appointment no later than 24-hours prior to your appointment time. A missed appointment without notification will count as one of your two appointments.
