Olivia Huynh

The work of Google Doodler Olivia Huynh was seen by Google users around the world during 2016 as the MICA alumna's interactive animations marked holidays and events including Leap Year, Halloween, and the 117th birthday of silhouette animation pioneer Lotte Reiniger.

Olivia Huynh ’13 (Illustration B.F.A.) is an animator and filmmaker currently working for Google as an official 'Doodler' creating the search engine's homepage animations. While at Google, she has created animation and interactive games for Halloween, Lunar New Year, Sally Ride's 64th birthday, Mother's Day, and Leap Year.

Prior to landing her job at Google, Huynh was a freelance illustrator, and her work has been featured by MoMA, Animation Block Party, Animateka, New York International Children's Film Festival, Northwest Animation Festival, New Urbanism Film Festival, Beloit International Film Festival, International Dark-Sky Association, The Daily Beast, Fox ADHD, Buzzfeed, and NASA.
