What is the Graduate Online Portfolio Review?
Prospective applicants have the opportunity to upload 10-20 images & a draft artist/designer statement via SlideRoom for review by graduate faculty and program representatives between September 28 and October 31. The Graduate Review Committee will review the work and return feedback by mid-November. The committee provides short, specific feedback to your portfolio. This could include suggestions, critique, responses to specific pieces or simply a general review of your portfolio as a whole. A typical response is approximately 150-200 words.
Starting September 28, prospective applicants to MICA's graduate community may upload a portfolio of artwork via mica.slideroom.com to the GRADUATE ONLINE PORTFOLIO REVIEWS program. All portfolios must be received by October 31 in order to receive a response.
The Office of Graduate Admission recommends reviewing each program's specific guidelines before uploading a portfolio. Program-specific requirements and deadlines can be viewed by visiting Graduate Admission Procedures. Please note that a separate application and portfolio must be uploaded by the final deadline for application review.
Participating students will receive feedback by mid-November. No final decisions or admission offers will be made during the portfolio review; please complete all required admission application requirements by the program deadline to be considered for graduate admission. If you have any questions about these portfolio reviews, please contact the Office of Graduate Admission at email@example.com.
